KAGEN DELIVERS FOR NORTHEAST WISCONSIN

DELIVERS PORK!
DECEMBER 19, 2007
Washington, DC -- The House of Representatives completed action on the omnibus spending bill that provides funding for the federal government operations and projects for the rest of Fiscal Year 2008.

O K, it is still the Christmas time of year and I am trying to be nice but I can't believe what this guy supposedly got passed.

The measure includes a number of projects in Northeast Wisconsin critical to the health, safety and economic well-being of the people of Wisconsin. What economic well-being?

Before completing action, the House approved the amendment that provides $70 billion dollars in funding for continued military operations in Iraq. The amendment was opposed by Congressman Steve Kagen. “I’m working hard to bring our tax dollars back to Wisconsin where they belong – to Green Bay, to Marinette, to Peshtigo, to Clintonville, to Sturgeon Bay and to Appleton to name a few – but not to Baghdad. What planet is he from? Can we say national security? Where was this guy on September 11, was he pulling teeth at the time? I have always supported our brave troops serving in harms way. No, you are not if you voted "NO" on troop funding!! President Bush has enough money to protect our troops and move them away from Iraq and back after our real enemies, Osama bin Laden and his followers.”Is this guy assuming room temperature? Has there not been Al Qaeda in Iraq? Congressman Kagen looks forward to opportunities in January to meet with local officials, community leaders and residents who will benefit from the federal assistance Congressman Kagen helped secure. Oh, are these people on the dole supposed to kiss his ring? Will he ask for campaign contributions? “Congressman Steve Kagen has been very aggressive in trying to promote the needs of his district and the results show,” said House Appropriations Committee Chairman Dave Obey (WI-07). Look who's talking, Dave Ope? I'm not going there, we have enough trouble with Dr, K.!
CONGRESSIONALLY DIRECTED FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008 IN WISCONSIN’S 8TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT (Note: These projects are contained in the Omnibus Spending measure.) Yea, it sure is OMNIBUS!!!!!!!

OK, here's the rest of the story;

Let it snow: December snowfall nears all-time record for city
BY DOUG ZELLMER of The Northwestern
Another round of snow blanketed Oshkosh with about four inches of the white stuff fell Friday adding to a near record snowfall for the month.

Where are all you environmental wak jobs on global warming?

So far, an estimated 24½ inches of snow has fallen in Oshkosh this December, which is believed to be the fourth most since at least 1948, according to the Midwestern Regional Climate Center, Champaign, Ill. The agency reported the record snowfall for December, 25.7 inches, fell in Oshkosh is in 2000. Oshkosh’s average snowfall in December is about 11 inches and the normal seasonal snowfall during winter in the city is 41.3 inches. The heaviest snow on Friday fell between noon and 4 p.m. About an inch of snow fell Friday evening with accumulating snow ending by 8 p.m. Light snow is also forecast for Sunday and Monday. Oshkosh received measurable snowfall on eight days so far this month.December has been a snowy month throughout the state. Wisconsin Rapids received a state-high 18.2 inches of snow last weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

These evil capitalist!!!!!
The snow is good news for businesses.Geri Cauley, a floor manager for Kitz & Pfeil Hardware on North Main Street in Oshkosh, said Friday afternoon that snow-melting products are going out the door quite fast.“We still have an ample supply of snow shovels,” she said.Todd Messerschmidt, manager of the Kitz & Pfeil Power Center in Oshkosh, said it’s been “an awesome” month for sales of snowblowers, parts and service. Probably some evil money grabbing republican.
“We haven’t had snow like this in a number of years,” he said. Messerschmidt said their power center in Oshkosh sold 113 snowblowers in about one week after the first storm of the month, when eight inches of snow fell on Dec. 1. These evil guys should of given 113 snowblowers away for free, they can afford it,( again probobly republicans)!!!!
Rural Omro dairy farmer Jeff Bradley said the abundance of snow helps insulate crops already in the ground, such as alfalfa, and prevents the crops from being damaged by ice.“There’s also extra moisture for the fields in the spring,” he said. Officials from the NWS in Green Bay said the 90-day forecast for January through March calls for below normal precipitation and a 30 percent chance for below normal temperatures. It’s just a forecast and the weather could change, said Dan Clark, a meteorological technician for the NWS in Green Bay.“There are so many variables that go into this and it covers a big area,” Clark said.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
You lefty idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pottersville or Baily Park

Picture from IMDb

From the Marquette Warrior.
A good read about the sub-prime mortgage problems.

This one part caught my eye.
And as Gary Becker has pointed out:
Some have proposed that families should not be allowed to get mortgages if they do not meet minimum standards of income and assets, even if lenders would be willing to provide mortgages, and would-be borrowers still want a mortgage after being informed of the risks. This proposal is a dangerous form of paternalism that denies the rights of both borrowers and lenders to make their own decisions. Moreover, it is ironic that only a few years ago, banks were being investigated for "redlining"; that is, for avoiding lending to blacks and other residents of poor neighborhoods. And that, of course, was evidence of the evil of American capitalism.

This reminds me of old man Potter in "It's a wonderful life".
George gave the cab driver a loan for a house,
to Mr Martini the restaurant owner for a new house in Baily Park,
and what would Potter do, leave them in his run down rental places.
Who are the Potters of today?
Was Potter the evil guy or should George Baily have gone to work for Potter,
what would of happened!

We and they would be in Potters ville and not Beadford Falls.

Let the free market take care of it self and get the politicians and the lefties out of bank financing.

The market will correct.
To those who got a loan and cannot afford it, let the chips fall.
We don't need to punish everyone just for the few!
Let the borrowers and lenders make their own decisions.

Thank God there are George Baily's out there.
Some people may have the chance to get their own house.
If they cannot afford it , don't give them the loan, if they can make it on their own , go for it.

Remember the American dream!

I know times are tough, but I'd rather live in Baily Park (Berry Lake)
and not Potters ville!

Here's an article that sums up what I was trying to say.

It's a Wonderful Life and Sub-Prime 2007
By Vivian Norris de Montaigu . Posted December 25, 2007.
George Bailey's Savings and Mortgage Company was never bought out by by bloated oil producers for 50 cents on the dollar.

You don't have to be an expert at analyzing films or the economy to figure out that the holiday season favorite, It's a Wonderful Life, has never been so right on. George Bailey does indeed represent the American mortgage company which supplied the money for those who wanted to build and buy their own (modest) homes. Mr. Potter is the greedy banker who laughs and offers 50 cents on the dollar to the citizens of Bedford Falls when there is a run on the bank, and on Bailey's own equivalent of the small town mortgage company.

It's About Time

I have compassion for the less fortunate, the poor.
Heck, I know as well as anyone tough times can come any one's way.

I hate paying taxes of any kind, but if you owe taxes, you pay the taxes!

New year brings reminder from past
More delinquent taxpayers will be on Web list in 2008
By STEVEN WALTERSswalters@journalsentinel.com

Madison - About 14,000 more Wisconsin residents and businesses will start 2008 with an Internet hangover, when their names and addresses are added to state government's list of tax delinquents Friday.

A provision of the state budget that passed in October dramatically lowered - from $25,000 to $5,000 - the threshold of unpaid taxes, penalties, interest and costs to have a taxpayer's name on the Revenue Department's online list of delinquent taxpayers.
As a result, the 5,500 names now on the list is expected to grow to more than 19,000.

Bottom line, if you don't want to pay your taxes, let the people that do pay on time see who you are.

At least someone is sticking up for the honest taxpayers!

Houston, We Have A Problem

Was at someone house Christmas day night.
All having a good time, adult beverages flowing at full strength.
Three Olive Chocolate vodka tastes just like chocolate covered cherries.
You know the ones with the white gooey stuff inside the chocolate.
Learned a collage game with a quarter and two empty ice cube trays.

Well, let me tell you, I always wonder about the education of our future leaders.
Politics came up and I asked a 18 year old freshman going to UWM who she would vote for president.

"Hillary Clinton of course"!

I then asked what important thing Hillary has done for you to vote for her?

Dead serious, " Because she has a vagina"
Right out of the NAG's handbook! I am not kidding and yes she was serious about her answer.
Our future leaders in progress! Females must have real emotional problems if they can only vote for a women to just get a women in office!

I have already had discussions about politics with this young lady.
From those discussions she is already indoctrinated from the left.
Not sure where she gets all her information, but it can't be good.
Obviously she doesn't pay taxes or doesn't know , doesn't care about taxes or goverment in general.

You take uneducated young uninformed youths, indoctrinate them daily at high school and collage and you get our future leaders. The teachers union must be very proud of these kids.

I only pray that my two son's have more brains than most that go to post high school education.

Federal Spending- Wisconsin Spending

Went to USA gov spending, interesting for the spending from Wisconsin.

Here is link to 2007 spending for the state of Wisconsin.

Here's one from Madison, "Hyperion" , still not sure what $454,981 would be used for?

Here's one from David obeys district "LAUGH YOUR WAY AMERICA" for
$194,968. not sure what that was for?

Another from Madison - "GreenLeaf Market" for $99,859

Makes you kind of wonder how these earmarks get into the budget!

Spending by Wisconsin officials, the top five!

Wisconsin 2 (Tammy Baldwin) - $4,198,122,856
Wisconsin 5 (F. James Sensenbrenner Jr.) - $124,456,159
Wisconsin 4 (Gwen Moore) - $74,958,583
Wisconsin 7 (David R. Obey) - $49,976,671
Wisconsin 8 (Mark Green / Steve Kagen) - $31,734,996

Interesting to look at as I hold my 8% increase in our 2008 property tax bill.
$4600.00 doesn't go very far these days for property taxes.

Bend over , grab your ankles and kiss your hard earned money good bye!

This is odd

From a guy (me) on the RIGHT side of things!

What happens if you put the word

dem's in a sentence while writing your blog.

You then go to the "check spelling" button and guess what happens.

It tells you it should be capitalized,

Dem's !

Must be an error in the system!

Sorry, if I am writing about dem's , I will not capitalize it or them.

So Now We Know

So now we know who has and is behind all the questionable politicking in Wisconsin .

Teresa Vilmain

The head nut in the Clinton camp. Interesting she started young, not sure if she ever finished college,(oh, it said she never did) the secret weapon from Wisconsin. By the way, I read that the Clinton camp was handing out Caucaus cards with the wrong date on them. Jan. 17th not Jan 3rd? Wow, was Ms Valmain in charge of that?

I like this comment;
In Wisconsin, Vilmain has helped elect Sen. Herb Kohl and Gov. Jim Doyle, to name just two. She ran the state for former President Clinton's 1996 campaign and Al Gore's 2000 campaign, and she lent a late hand in 2004 for John Kerry. All three were Democratic victories, the last two by less than a percentage point. Wisconsin was the closest state in America in 2004.

I sometimes wonder who was or is in charge for the dem's with all the illegal voting, double voting, triple and quadruple voting in the state of Wisconsin for the past forty years. Doesn't it make you wonder???????????????????????????????????

Back to Ms. Vilmain, working to re elect Diamond Jim would sure not be a part of my resume. Gee, keeping everything organized must be a tough job. How do you keep track of how many times and where each dem votes? I feel for her , she must keep everyone organized! Must have a good data base set up to keep everyone straight.

Well you can read the article from JS online

By CRAIG GILBERTmailto:GILBERTcgilbert@journalsentinel.com.

Must be a slow news day,
(oh ya, it's Christmas day) to have this liberal political campaign worker on the front page.

Let us all remember Ms Vilmain when we get hot and heavy in Wisconsin politics this spring and fall.

I wonder if we will see any dirty tricks out of any of the dem candidates?

I'm sorry, it's Christmas,

To Ms Vilmain and all you dem's and lib's,

Merry Christmas

For A Child Is Born.

We reflect upon this day, for it was some

two thousand and forty years ago,

a child was born in Bethlehem.

From the church service we attended we are told to think about the wonderful things in life we are thankful for. We are also told to think about the the people who may be going through rough times. For the less fortunate. For we all are God's children.

At church, Father spoke of the atheist people in the world . They must have an emptiness of meaning, an empty purpose in life, an empty reason to not believe in one's own existent. What feelings do they have today. We pray that their life has meaning and they may someday have the love and joy that our God has given us.

Luke 2:9-@:14

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

For the first people to visit baby Jesus were the shepherds, the poor of the time. For they watched their flocks and were told in heavenly glory that they would find a child wrapped in swaddling cloths and lay in a manger.

The next group to visit our Lord were the three wise men. They followed a star to Bethlehem. For they were of wealth and still came to see the wonder of God through the eyes of his son.

Whether it is the rich or poor, all have room in God's world. All are God's children. God loves us , no matter what sins we have committed. His forgiveness is the many wonders of His world.

With all the gifts we open , with all the holiday cheer we make drink, we reflect on our faith, we reflect on our values , we reflect on our beliefs and all the good in this world. We reflect on what God has given us. And yes we also think and pray for the less fortunate , even for the non believers.

From our family to yours ,

MERRY CHRISTMAS

To Our Armed Forces

To those that are serving,

to those who haved served,

to all the familys of our armed forces,

You do not know how THANKFUL we are for your bravery,
your sacrifice and for some you, your life for what is right !

God Bless all of you.

Merry Christmas, Berry Laker

A Chicago driver faces two citations after a minivan crashed into ABC7's State Street studio Sunday night.
About two minutes into ABC7's 10 p.m. newscast Sunday night when a minivan slammed into the southeast corner of the building at 190 North State. A crowd was gathered outside the studio watching the live broadcast.
"I saw a minivan do about four or five U-turns and then he pulled off to the side of the road and we didn't think much of it but then we were watching the news and we heard a big crash and he was in the window," said Tyler Cloutier, witness.
Police arrived on the scene a few minutes later and arrested the driver who has been identified as Gerald Richardson.

You people from (sorry it's Christmas), you Bear fans, good game on Sunday and Merry Christmas from the Berry Laker .
