A blind report on the stimulus and jobs in Wisconsin. I wonder if Mr Hornacek is really that incompetent, brain dead or did his producer tell him how to report this? What a FARCE! From Fox 11.
Joe was working at a boat landing checking boats for aquatic invasive species, like Eurasian water milfoil. Is he working today? People wake up, it was a temporary job. Shouldn't that job have been voluntary like most people on Wisconsin lakes do already?
How can good old Bob say with a straight face, "it's actually $10,000 less than the original government estimates", botta bing, boota boom! My God man, it's still $82,000.00 per job. That's income for two or three people in Wisconsin!
People, wake up, it's only government jobs. The democrats took care of the unions and just said, "SCREW YOU"! Here Bob get's the fair and balanced part into his report by talking to State Representative Phil Montgomery. Phil is a state representative and the stimulus is a federal program. So Phil wants to comment, "more needs to be done for small businesses". Is he asleep? What has been done for small business? Nothing has been done! Is Phil Montgomery a dam RINO? He represents people in this state and he acts brain dead. This is a joke, Phil, didn't you understand , it's $82,000.00 per job. Phil, show a little passion, your a republican and you make a stupid comment and the point here is a waste in tax payers money? Da!
Steve, you really think the people of your district are that STUPID! Are you kidding? "May not have gone far enough" means he wants to spend more money for the public and teachers unions. "May not have been sufficient", means Kagen wants even more of your money, can we all say second stimulus! "Global recession", Kagen has been telling us we're in a recession since 2007, When will he say the recession is over! Steve Kagen looks in the camera, talks to reporters and lies right at the people he represents. Will anyone in the media ask Kagen some real questions?
Now good old Bob talks to a government employee, an egg head from UWGB. What does he know about the jobs sitting in his office overlooking the bay of Green Bay? Bob, Bob, Bob, we're talking about jobs and you didn't even talk to any small or medium size business owners? Get your head on straight! Let's talk jobs to the people of Carver boat in Pulaski. Lets talk jobs to Karcz Ford and Broadway Chevy here and Pulaski that closed down! Here's from the Oct 10th report.

This summer, 18-year-old Joe Madison was one of 3,972 young people across the state, put to work with federal stimulus money. Now a new audit is detailing the impact the stimulus has had on job creation." Assessing the impact of the stimulus
Joe was working at a boat landing checking boats for aquatic invasive species, like Eurasian water milfoil. Is he working today? People wake up, it was a temporary job. Shouldn't that job have been voluntary like most people on Wisconsin lakes do already?
According to the audit from the governor's office , $679.85 million in stimulus money has been spent so far in Wisconsin and 8,284 jobs have been saved or created. That works out to a cost of about $82,000 per job. While that may sound like a lot of money it's actually $10,000 less than the original government estimates.

More than 6,100 of those jobs were government jobs which were saved, including teachers, police officers and firefighters. State Representative Phil Montgomery, R-Ashwaubenon, said more needs to be done for small businesses.

U.S. Representative Steve Kagen, D-8th District, said the stimulus is working but may not have gone far enough.
"I think what we're finding today is that it may not have been sufficient to really boost the economy sufficiently to bring us out of this really global recession," Kagen said in a conference call with reporters.

"One of the things that strikes me is that it's really something that's not easy to measure," said John Stoll, professor of economics at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Stoll said different people will have different interpretations of the numbers.
"I think you would have to say it's working," Stoll said. "It's making dollars get spent in the economy and it's gonna have an impact. The question is how big is that impact."
A question which will no doubt be debated for years to come.

Preliminary1 Section 1512 Quarterly Report Details
10/10/09 – 11:00 pm (WISSTIM Only2)
Funding – 1512 Reports
Over 6,100 jobs providing essential government services were saved through the use of Recovery Act Stabilization funds. These jobs include police officers, firefighters and teachers.UNION JOBS! Where are the jobs for the rest of the people of Wisconsin?
3,972 Wisconsin youth received valuable summer work experience. It was probably children from union members put to work for the summer with stimulus money. Did Bob Hornacek ask Joe Madison if any of his parents are members of a union?
175 Americorp members have provided over 31,000 hours of services at 139 locations. That's 177 hours and 4 1/2 weeks of work. What good did that do It was probably the teachers children put to work for the summer with stimulus money
23 projects have been funded to provided homelessness prevention assistance and services and re-housing and stabilization services. To date 476 persons in 227 families have received assistance.I thought the charities take care of most of this? What group was filling their pockets when no one looking?
240 homes are having lead paint removed.I thought all the legal action against paint manufactures paid for this? Who has lead paint in their houses in 2009? Did most of this money go to the inner city of Milwaukee? Who's pockets ere filled here? Somebody prove me wrong here! Where did the money for lead paint go?
89,507 meals were provided to 9,175 homebound seniors.Don't we already provide meals to homebound seniors? Who paid for them before the stimulus? Who's grabbing cash here? Where in Wisconsin did the money go to?
62 people are enrolled in senior employment programs receiving work experience and training in unsubsidized employment. We have 70 counties in Wisconsin, that's not even one person in each county! People wake up here, "receiving work experience and training in unsubsidized employment" What scam is this? Maybe some day we will get real news about the scams these programs are generating and the jobs that a lot of people in Wisconsin are not getting!
