"Green Bay Packers GM Ted Thompson: I thought we'd be better
By Rob Demovsky • rdemovsk@greenbaypressgazette.com • October 9, 2009
Ted Thompson never has been one to ride the emotional roller coaster of an NFL season. He didn’t do so during the 4-12 debacle of his first year as the Green Bay Packers’ general manger or in the 13-3 season of 2007." mwentworth...YES and a very poor commentator at that..
He may turnout to be the worst GM in Packer history if Murphy doesn't pull the trigger.
Murphy, is he still alive?

If someone asked me at the beginning of the season where the Pack would be at this time--I would have said 3 and 1 or 2 and 2. Figured the Vikes would win round one and the Bears might nip the Pack. The Bengals: Surprise. Porous Offensive Line: Surprise...
If no major injury runs debilitate the Pack, I am yet hoping for at least a 10-6 regular season record. They have the personnel to do better. They must go from jello-like play to gelling. Sturdy contributions from Tauscher and Clifton would be just the right additive. In fact, if these two outstanding athletes of the past can regain their former form, a 11-5 record would be within our grasp. Yes, if, if, if...yet, here is to two major "ifs" --reasonable health and the return of T & C.
If, if, if. You are dreaming. Winners make it happen (like BF the last two weeks) - losers make excuses.

Does anyone think Ted is talking like a sportscaster commenting on someone else's team? He seems so disconnected from the team and the results. My gosh, he sounds just like a politician!! His job isn't to manage a team, his job is to WIN!!! Or maybe that's just too much to ask. I guess trying hard is good enough.

I feel bad For Aaron Rodgers. Im sure he can be a good quarterback, but he is getting killed. How can he grow in to a great player when he is running for his life? The defense blows plays and the offense cant block or run. Remember an 8-8 record got Ray Rhodes Fired back in '99, How many losing seasons before Herman Munster and mr piggly wiggly get fired? Life would suck if i couldnt watch the packers when they are winning, but they arent so i am not missing anything. With a losing season again we could get a good draft pick, but who would ted thompson draft justin IR herrible? Or maybe he can trade for another one hit wonder running back like grant.
