WDNR, 100 Deer Per Square Mile

[Excerpt:] – WOODRUFF, Wis. – The Woodruff Police Department has released the name of a 23-year-old Rhinelander man killed Thursday after a deer went through the windshield of the vehicle he was riding in while traveling on Highway 47.

Our prayers go out to the family, poor guy.

I really have to question the DNR when it says, "100 deer per square mile," Sure there's a deer farm west of Gillett, they must have 800 per sq. mile there, and that's a deer farm! Where in Wisconsin do they see a 100 per sq. mile? WOW! Show me the map!
