Dems Dog And Pony Show

Hearings in Madison about the fraud and other problems in the troubled Wisconsin Shares child-care program. Here we see the dog and pony show in Madison that the left puts on for the press.

Lawmakers seek ways to hold government workers accountable for fraud

"Democratic leaders said the bill goes too far and circulated their own bill to address some of the problems." More Wisconsin Shares child care providers cut off - JSOnline

My God, we can't go too far.
"This is real, and it's big, big money - big money," Ziegelbauer said. "So a little overcompensation is appropriate."
Ziegelbauer isn't a real democrat, he has too much common sense.
A recent Journal Sentinel investigation found cases where front-line workers who aggressively weed out fraud say they are not supported by their supervisors and are sometimes harassed or even fired for their efforts.

Cindy Jaeger, a longtime Milwaukee County fraud investigator who retired last year, said the provision could result in less fraud actually being stopped.

Less fraud is what they want.
Meanwhile members of the Legislature's Joint Finance Committee grilled the secretary of the Department of Children and Families, Reggie Bicha, for about two hours. Republicans on the panel complained questions were cut off too early.

So the dems run the meeting and don't want anyone to get all the truth out. cut him off before something else comes out.
While funding for the Wisconsin Shares program comes from federal and state sources, the state contracts with counties to administer the program. Fraud detection is included in that contract.

Isn't Doyle in charge of Milwaukee county?
"We're outraged," said Sen. Dave Hansen (D-Green Bay). "This is a sad day in the state when a program . . . has been abused so badly."
Outraged, My GOD, he can't be outraged? Maybe if we teach more about unions, this wouldn't happen. Wish there was a camera, I bet I could see Hansen snicker as he said this. Was Hansen cutting republicans off in the meeting? We now go to the end of the article for some common sense.
Committee member Rep Robin Vos (R-Racine) said more needs to be done.

"The taxpayers of Wisconsin have already been forced to put up with millions of dollars in waste and fraud," Vos said, "and today the Democrats burned more calories passing the buck and explaining why local officials were to blame than trying to solve the problem. Wisconsin deserves better than embarrassing headlines and empty excuses.

"Government-as-usual got us into this problem, and I'm worried that government-as-usual is going to keep us there," he said.

The dems have their hands all over this and when are the voters of Wisconsin going to wake up. There's too many hands in the cookie jar for the dems to clean this up. Too many campaign donations here. What a dog and pony show.
