Harden argued that hiring Maki back on a temporary basis saves the taxpayers money because the university isn't paying for benefits that cost thousands of dollars. Hiring someone new would mean paying that person's salary and benefits, while Maki would continue to collect his pension, Harden said.
Oh, so now it is only temporary? Sure, sure just untill 2015, 2020?
