The Green Bay Press reports about my old school where the teachers get a contract extension with a pay raise to boot. Is the Ashwaubenon school board insane.
The board’s vote happened Monday. The Ashwaubenon Education Association signed off on the agreement, which covers the 2011-12 school year, late last week.
The contract requires teachers to pay 12.5 percent of health insurance premiums and 5.8 percent of their salaries toward retirement benefits.
It eliminates post-retirement benefits for those hired after this school year, and includes a salary increase of $675 per teacher for the year.

Looks like a partial offset move.
The pension/health contributions prolly are going to be around $750/year/teacher (average), so the Board gave back most of it.
Numbers MAY be off by a bit.
