MADISON — Wisconsin Republicans promised the next two years would be all about jobs, jobs and more jobs. But they kicked off their first day in complete control of state government Monday by circulating bills on voter registration, all-terrain vehicles, stem cells and self-defense.
Democrats looking to draw attention from GOP Gov. Scott Walker's mid-day inauguration pounced on the legislation, accusing Republicans of reneging on campaign promises to create jobs and triggering a made-for-the media game of one-upmanship in the process.
So in the morning before anyone in Madison are even sworn in some in the GOP circulate a bunch of odd bills for the upcoming legislative session.

"We are seeing a blatant bait-and-switch that ignores job creation and focuses on right-wing social issues," state Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Madison, said in a statement.
See, see, the sky is falling. Those evil evil republicans are introducing social bills. We got em now. See, see!
But shortly after Walker and Republican majorities in the Assembly and Senate took their oaths of office, the new governor fulfilled a campaign promise by calling for a special legislative session on the economy. Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, then circulated a handful of special session bills for co-sponsorship that would create tax credits for businesses, health saving account contributors and out-of-state businesses that relocate to Wisconsin.

"The jobs agenda is taking priority," said Rep. Joel Kleefisch, R-Oconomowoc, one of two GOP lawmakers who released the bills that sparked the clash. "Mark Pocan is a blowhard."" Wisconsin Republicans introduce slew of social bills | greenbaypressgazette.com | Green Bay Press Gazette
Oop's, seems after everyone is sworn in and the special session is called, bills to get Wisconsin's economy going to create jobs comes out. Seems the dems took the bait and switch, hook line and sinker.  This is going be fun to watch the liberals implode. Let's all help dems keep Mike Tate their leader for the democrat party of Wisconsin.
