Groups seek emails of Democratic lawmakers - JSOnline: 

"At least two politically minded groups have made extensive open records requests for emails sent and received by state legislators, two of the groups confirmed Thursday.

A third group has made at least one such request.

A spokesman for the John K. MacIver Institute for Public Policy said the Wisconsin-based think tank had asked for emails from six Democratic legislators dating from the beginning of the year until now. The spokesman, Brian Fraley, said the group was seeking correspondence related to Gov. Scott Walker's budget-repair bill.

Orville Seymer of the group Citizens for Responsible Government said Thursday that his group asked for emails from five Democratic senators dating from Feb. 17 to March 28.

He said the five were Sens. Chris Larson of Milwaukee; Robert Wirch of Pleasant Prairie; Dave Hansen of Green Bay; James Holperin of Eagle River; and Mark Miller of Monona."

Remember this from the Lakeland Times. 

The office of the state attorney general told The Lakeland Times this week it has no statutory jurisdiction to offer a legal opinion about a policy adopted by state Sen. Jim Holperin (D-Conover) of routinely deleting emails his office receives.

Baby sitter gets 30 days for 'vampire' attack:

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) - A Sheboygan man who pleaded no contest to charges that he bit a 3-year-old boy's neck while 'playing vampire' has been sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Mark R. Adams Jr. was convicted of felony child abuse. The Sheboygan Press says the 43-year-old was sentenced Tuesday."

Adams was babysitting the boy in January. He told police that after he watched a vampire-themed show he bit the boy's neck three times while "playing vampire." He also told investigators it was possible he said something about wanting to suck the boy's blood.

Prosecutors say three bite marks were clearly visible.

A message left with Adams' attorney Thursday was not immediately returned.

The criminal complaint says the mother confronted Adams, who said "I'm not a pedophile" and punched her in the face

Take Wayne Hensler, a farmer, now 82. His 70-acre field south of Lake Mills tilts slightly and is near water, heaven help him. When he was told his runoff was plaguing Rock Lake, he offered to change the drainage. No go: Eventually, the state demanded he give up 7 acres (the best ones, he says) to plant in grass.

Hensler is stubborn, a proselytizing atheist who puts up anti-God billboards. When the court told him to turn over $5,000 to the DNR so it could render his 7 acres useless, he replied no. He was sent to jail immediately, while the state's attorney, Kloppenburg, dug into his bank accounts.

Kloppenburg chased this case from 2004 to, apparently, present, since Hensler says he's going to put in soybeans. She e-mailed a colleague in 2009 to note that Hensler, who'd recently gone through heart surgery, "looked very hale and hearty" as he got hauled off.

Hensler says Kloppenburg showed neither understanding nor judiciousness. "This was more of a hate thing than anything else," he told me.

Connie Helnore of Cedarburg says that at least her case has settled into benign neglect. In 2003, after she and her husband got the necessary permits to use a lot next to theirs to build a house for their daughter, they learned it was wetland, despite it being flat, dry and, according to a DNR staffer, buildable. What's more, their own house was on wetland, the DNR now said, and would have to go.

The DNR relented on the Helnores' house, but thanks to the icily dogged work of Kloppenburg, their other lot remains unbuildable. Whether they can remodel or repair is an open question, says Helnore. As for the lawyer who mulcted them of their investment, Helnore said, "I don't think she cares about people, and she certainly doesn't care about property rights for people. Obviously, she's not getting our vote."

Others may, of course, prefer an inhuman implacability when prosecutors apply the law to the facts of a damp state. If that's you, Kloppenburg's your Javert.

But it does raise the question: If she cannot be judicious when using a prosecutor's power, what will she be like when she's wearing a robe?

No matter which way you look at JoAnne Kloppenburg, She is the face of the  the Wisconsin of Department of Natural Resources. She has never been a judge and how does that give here the right to be on the states supreme court? Will she be the WDNR face on the Wisconsin Supreme Court? Voters in Wisconsin will determine that on Tuesday.

In what is normally a sleepy race, the Wisconsin Supreme Court election has taken center stage in the debate over collective bargaining, public employees and the state budget.

Incumbent Justice David Prosser, 68, a former Republican lawmaker, is seen as part of a conservative majority on the Supreme Court, although he told the Gazette his record shows he is in the center.

Assistant Attorney General JoAnne Kloppenburg, 57, is viewed as someone aligned with the left, but she told the Gazette she would be nonpartisan, independent and impartial.

The way you see it is the way this was posted in the online edition. Notice the paper threw in the 3-5pm rally.in the edition from yesterday. The article is from Janesville but the paper just had to help the unions in Superior. Naw, no media bias here.

Police and Fire Fighters Thrown Under The Bus

Seems the lefties in La Crosse are trying to throw police and fire fighter unions under the bus. From the La Crosse Trib 

Mayor backs call for police, fire to pay part of health plan, pension: 

"La Crosse Mayor Matt Harter has joined 38 other Wisconsin city officials in pushing for the state to require police and firefighters pay the same pension and health insurance costs proposed for other public employees.
“I think it’s fair that if one group of employees is going to be required to make contributions, then other groups should as well,” Harter said Wednesday.

The Urban Alliance, representing Wisconsin cities with a population of 10,000 or more, sent a letter to the Legislature’s Joint Finance Committee calling for the change to Gov. Scott Walker’s collective bargaining law.

That measure, now tied up in courts, would require most public workers pay half of their pension contribution and 12.6 percent of their health insurance costs."

You know, if the mayor want's police and fire to pay more in their contracts, why don't they ask and why won't those unions pay more money when they negotiate their next contract?. Why does Scott Walker have to force the issue?

The state will spend an additional $1.6 million on the U.S. 41 reconstruction project and install traffic lights instead of roundabouts at two key Brown County interchanges.

A series of traffic lights will be installed at the Oneida Street and Lombardi Avenue intersections with the highway, which is undergoing a seven-year, $1 billion reconstruction over 14 miles.

Two roundabouts were being considered at each interchange as part of the project in Brown County. Wisconsin Department of Transportation officials say they have not completed the design for the intersections and the exact location and number of traffic lights were not available Tuesday.

First, how can thy spend an extra $1.6 Million? What was the original coast of the roundabouts.?


I hope the people of Brown county stop the roundabout madness while they still can.

"Compromise? It consisted of Republicans agreeing to the Democrats’ general direction and being granted, in turn, the right to complain, as long as they kept it quiet."

Lee says the destabilization in all this was the rise of talk radio. That’s interesting, as it suggests the Democrats’ vision of compromise cannot stand the vigorous expression of an opposing viewpoint. Before talk radio, conservatives could be dissatisfied, vote for Lee Dreyfuss and feel still worse in the morning. Solitarily, too: Before talk radio, newspapers and broadcasters, offered a spectrum of views from centrist to Trotskyite. Of course things were more peaceful if during this 40-year slide any critical questioning occurred only in conservatives’ own heads.

I’ll tell you why things are bitter: It’s because until lately, liberals in Wisconsin, having for years had the field to themselves, presumed the state was their possession. They grew unused to having to contest things politically and so lost the habits of fighting civilly. They did not know, and in some quarters still do not know, how civilized people differ.

Liberal left, let me put it to you as simple as I can.

Scott Marshall, Vice Chair of The Communist Party USA said his organization is working with the likes of MoveOn.org, the SEIU, AFSCME and others to make April 4th, the anniversary of the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., a national day of action.

“Support is beginning to grow,” said Marshall in an online meeting earlier this month. “A bunch of organizations already are hyping the idea of massive demonstrations on April 4th.”"

IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP -- Two wolves that had been inhabiting a residential neighborhood in Ironwood Township have been killed.

Brian Roell, of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources' Marquette office, said the wolves were killed by Don Lonsway of Ironwood Township, who works for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's wolf control program.

In mid-February, Bob Lynn, who lives on Sunset Road, watched two wolves feed on a deer carcass about 40 feet from his house, and there have been other wolf-related complaints from that area."

Ah, what did he say? What does "stuck" mean? Does Ribble really think Obama is going ask to get permission? Maybe he did discuss it with Ribble at the Super Bowl party and Reid just forgot. So if Obama did ask Congress, would he have said it was O K and gave him a yes vote? Let's cut to the chase, Reid is a moderate middle of the road republican. Can't take sides, can't diss the media, waiting for someone to tell him what to say or what to do. This is his first year in D C and he doesn't want to rock the boat. 


I don't know what should be done in Libya? Are people against Gaddafi supported by al-Qaeda? Do we remove Gaddafi and let another Iran happen? Do we leave Gaddafi? I am not a congressman and not privy to classified information. That's why we have congressman in Washington DC.

Bryant and three of his friends were ejected from the NorthPark shopping center Saturday after a dispute between Bryant and two off-duty officers over the men sagging their pants below their hips, exposing their underwear.
A Tuesday police statement says officers working off-duty Saturday as security at NorthPark encountered Bryant and three companions wearing the drooping pants.
When the officers asked the four to pull up their trousers, Bryant launched into a profanity-laced tirade. According to the statement, when confronted, Bryant told officers. “What the ****, you stopped me like I stole something.” That prompted the officers to escort the four from the mall."

Before his performance at the Points of Light Institute's ceremony honoring former President George H. W. Bush at the Kennedy Center on Monday, Brooks was asked if President Obama has lived up to his expectations.

"'Yeah, I think what President Obama is finding out is all that we want to do, the system kind of doesn't allow the most powerful guy in the world to kind of do his job and I'm sure nobody's more frustrated than him to complete those promises that he did and I think he's trying his heart out. I love him to death and I fully support him and I just wish him well because it's got to be hell in that office,' said Brooks."

State Sen. Jimmy "Hope" Holperin of Conover. Last year, we said we couldn't fail Sen. Jimmy Hope on open records, but we can yell it from the rooftops after his monstrous decision to routinely delete certain emails. Our story in last Tuesday's paper gives the details of this travesty but, in a nutshell, Mr. Holperin has given lawmakers, if they choose to do so, a perfectly legal way to effectively exempt themselves from the open records law.

All you have to do is get rid of any record you don't want anybody to see. While most lawmakers' records are open, the state's retention law doesn't require that they be kept for any length of time. Don't want to be seen? Hit delete.

In the last 50 years since that exemption was passed, it has been used only rarely. Mr, Holperin has changed the game. For the past month he has protected 50 years of special-interest greed by hiding in Illinois. Last year, he destroyed 50 years of open records progress by figuring out a way to hide his records.

As the state’s environmental law enforcer, Kloppenburg represented the DNR and state in cases that angered developers, homeowners, and businesses, and she has argued against more local and legislative control (especially when Republican legislators took actions to protect citizens upset over what one labeled DNR “arrogance.”)

“It’s a good example of government gone amok,” said the lawyer for a couple who accused the state of rendering their dream property worthless through bureaucratic bungling and zealousness. In another case, Kloppenburg praised as “wonderful” a court decision where a woman couldn’t build a deck on a lake home she inherited from her grandfather.

One case involving Kloppenburg sparked an upset Wisconsin couple to write the governor , accusing the state of rendering their property worthless through bureaucratic bungling and zealous regulation. “It sure puts a sour note on our life,” said one homeowner of the state action against him.

A few other cases of Kloppenburg going after average homeowners include:"

Homeowners William and Lynn Gerrits didn’t want to have to move their home near a creek in Kaukauna and they had a variance from the zoning law that said the buildings needed to be 75 feet from the water. It would cost $50,000 to move their house back 18 feet more, and only parts of the home (the deck, and part of the garage) were within the 75 feet. A local county board granted the couple a variance because it determined that the local government failed to tell the homeowners the house was too close to the creek when issuing a building permit. The board found the home was not contrary to public interests. The attorney for the couple noted in court documents: “In a day when raw sewage is dumped into our lakes by cities after heavy rainstorms; in a day when it is commonplace for beaches to be closed due to unhealthy levels of contaminants, we find the state of Wisconsin bringing its force not to clean our lakes and streams, but to make a homeowner move a deck and garage,” But Kloppenburg, argued for the state that the couple didn’t deserve a variance, “We are not picking fights with anybody,” she said. “We want to make sure statewide everybody is following the same standards. … Studies show indisputably that development within the setbacks does harm water quality over time. The science is very sound.” (AP, Jan. 13, 2004).

A vote to take away your land is a vote for Kloppenberg.

In Ozaukee County, a couple purchased two plots of land without realizing they were on wetlands. They built their home, garnering necessary approval from town and county and also thinking they had DNR approval. However, when they started to build the house for their daughter, they learned the DNR had stated the land sat on wetlands. The couple sued the DNR, although DNR officials said it was possible to resolve the dispute. They accused the DNR of essentially taking their land. However, a DNR inspector told the couple they were unlikely to get proper approval to build the home for their daughter after they had already obtained a mortgage and permits for it. Upset, the couple penned a letter to Gov. Jim Doyle that said in part, “Our property is being held hostage by the government, and we have been deemed guilty by a government employee. We now sit with property that was valued at over $ 500,000 up until Oct. 8, 2002, now virtually worthless. We have a mortgage for a house that we cannot build. We have lost thousands of dollars on this project. We have spent thousands of dollars for attorneys. We can’t sell or refinance our house. We have lived in this house for nine years without any clue of any of this. We went to every agency possible, prior to purchasing these properties. We have paid full property taxes on both properties. Never once, in all these years, did anyone ever mention anything about wetlands.” Kloppenburg was the attorney who filed a motion in court to dismiss the couple’s suit on behalf of the DNR. She alleged the couple should have known they couldn’t build on the land, saying maps denoting the wetlands existed before they brought the property. (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, June 27, 2003)The couple’s lawyer, in another news article, stated, “It’s a terrible and tragic situation, a good example of government run amok.” Kloppenburg filed a motion to dismiss the couple’s lawsuit. (AP, June 25, 2003).

A vote for Kloppenburg is a vote for the abuse by the WDNR.

A Janesville man believed that low water, because of wetlands, depreciated his property’s value. A lake district sided with the man, arguing in court that the DNR was violating the rights of property owners. The DNR refused to raise the lake level. Property owners had battled to do so since 2003. Said property owner Bruce Harrison to the Janesville Gazette newspaper: “It’s affected the beauty of the shoreline because, as the water retreats, it leaves a muddy mess. It’s also affected my ability to use my watercraft. I’m sure it has affected my property value.” The DNR had categorized wetlands as “public rights” despite the properties being privately owned, alleged the attorney for the lake district. Kloppenburg, who represented the DNR, sided with a hearing examiner who ruled for the DNR by saying statutes didn’t allow consideration of the economic impact on properties.

A vote for Kloppenburg is to take away your rights.

A Forest County man battled state officials to keep his retirement home. He had been ordered to move the $170,000 home because it was 15 feet from a lake. The state Supreme Court overruled the appellate court and said the man didn’t have to move his home. The 74-year-old man told the media he just wanted to retire in peace. ”I’m getting so . . . old. I won’t see the end of the case by the way it’s going,” the man said. ”It’s getting too expensive.” The media said a contractor had erroneously built the man’s home too close to the lake. The elderly man had spent more than $80,000 in legal fees. It would cost $130,000 to move the house. A judge had disagreed with the local county saying it was wrong to make the man move his house. The appeals court overruled the judge. The state Supreme Court was unanimous in its decision siding with the judge and allowing the man to not have to move his house. Although she was not listed on court documents as the attorney of record, and while acknowledging the decision was fair, Kloppenburg was interviewed by the media and praised the case for reinforcing the rights of the state to enforce shoreline zoning codes. She said the case “’reconfirms the paramount interest of the state, of all of us, in the protection of our waters through shore land zoning.” (Wisconsin State Journal, July 2, 1998.) Kloppenburg has also been at the center of opposing state Legislative attempts to rein in the power of the DNR and state Department of Justice when it comes to environmental enforcement (she has supported the DNR’s greater pursuit of power in court). In some of those cases, which reached the state Supreme Court, incumbent Justice David Prosser disagreed with Kloppenburg, who argued for the DNR to have more power, and the Legislature to have less, when it came to disputes between the state and private landowners.
Kloppenburg praised as “wonderful” a decision that meant that property owners with homes on waterfront can’t build within 75 feet of shorelines unless they would no longer have “reasonable use” of their homes. The case before the state Supreme Court had derived from a Kenosha County case in which a woman added a deck to a Hooker Lake home built in 1936 by her grandfather. She received a variance from a Kenosha board to build the deck, which cost her $5,000. The DNR fought the woman’s deck, which was 64 feet from the lake. The board noted other homes were closer to the lake and said the deck would increase safety for the woman. The higher court ruled against the woman saying she had not suffered “unnecessary hardship.” (Wisconsin State Journal, May 28, 1998).

State Senator Jim Holperin (D-Eagle River) criticized a 2012-’13 state budget that will pour $410 million more into road projects over the next two years, with virtually none of the new highway spending headed to northern Wisconsin.

“Instead, road aid cuts of 3% to 15% will be the rule across the north where residents count on good roads for logging, tourism, agriculture, education and commuting,” he said."

“In a budget proposal filled with cuts to school aid and dozens of other programs, less health care for the poor, and the complete elimination of programs like recycling, transportation spending is slated to grow by almost 15%,” Holperin explained. “Yet nearly all the new money will go toward major projects in the southern part of the state.”

Specifically, Milwaukee’s “Zoo Interchange” will get $225 million; I-94 from Milwaukee south to the state line will get $195 million; and I-90 from Madison south to the state line will get $59 million.

State leaders have taken about $1.2 billion in recent years from the state transportation fund.
Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle led the misguided raids.

So Holperin and Doyle stole $1.2 billion and he wonders why some in Wisconsin will have to do with less.


If we don't fix the zoo interchange, the most used interchange in Wisconsin, business in Wisconsin will not be able to ship goods and services in this state. Holperins bad decisions in the past tells everyone in the 12th he is out of touch with the voters and has to go in the recall election.

PULASKI — The Pulaski School Board on Wednesday is expected to approve one-year contract extensions for employees of three unions, including teachers.

Schools superintendent Mel Lightner said Monday district officials met with representatives from the Pulaski Education Association, the Pulaski Education Support Personnel Association and the Pulaski Cook and Custodian Association last week to negotiate agreements.

Why only a one year extension? Why only three unions? Where were the unions and the employees the last three years when the school district was strapped for money? Who's going to pay for the shortfalls? Why not any cuts in pay? 


Why are the tax payers taking it in the shorts again? How many residents taxes were reduced the last three years? 

The tax payers of the Pulaski School District should storm the meeting Wednesday night and demand the school board stop and hold all contract extensions until the state law takes or not takes effect?  Do the tax payers of Pulaski have any guts or do the unions leaders run the school district, the school board and tell the tax payers to bend over and

The President of the West De Pere Education Association resigned this week in the face of a “no confidence” vote. In forcing this one has to wonder if it was the Executive Committee of the Association acting alone or on behalf of the majority of teachers in the district. Here’s a copy of the letter he sent to union members.

Dear Fellow WDPEA Members,
I wanted to write to each of you personally and as soon as possible to let you know that I am no longer the President of the WDPEA. I also wanted you to explain how this came to be."

Late in the school day yesterday, I was approached by a member of the executive committee to tell me that the WDPEA Executive Committee was exploring a move toward a vote of “No Confidence” in my ability to lead our association as President. With the parliamentary procedures set in place by association bylaws I proffered my resignation. I know that there are some teachers in our district that are highly emotional, irrational, and full of anger about all that is happening in our state regarding the Budget Repair Bill. I have worked hard to communicate everything that all of you have needed to know in order to decide for yourselves where you stand, to express yourselves if you wished to, and to know where to seek out more information. When I agreed to be your Union President, it was because I felt strongly about taking care of all of our teachers and being a professional, wise, and respected voice in negotiating, especially for the young teachers. In trying to remain as professional and objective as possible, I did not agree to or endorse local demonstrations or marching on the Capitol.

Those who know me well understand the principles I have stood for my entire life. I have dedicated my life (and risked it, many times) to secure the freedoms of the citizens of this country and I strongly believe in the democratic process. It is not my way to spout hateful rhetoric or make a foolish scene at our state capitol. If that is what you elected me for, you were mistaken. I do not wholeheartedly agree with the manner in which the legislative actions in Madison were choreographed and as a result I have written professional letters to our Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Representatives to let them know of my concerns.

I have followed the events in Madison very closely and learned a great deal about WEAC when I discovered that two days into this, they capitulated on the notion of making us pay 12% for our benefits and 5.8% of our pensions without trying to negotiate lower percentages for us. WEAC stated that all they wanted was to retain “collective bargaining rights”. Educate yourselves about whose best interests are truly being served by continuing the current process of “collective bargaining.” WEAC wants to continue to make it mandatory that we pay our union dues – this has always been about the union’s money, not teacher’s “rights”. In order to negotiate salaries and benefits, we are going to be successful only if we are professional, committed to our profession, and reasonable about the conditions of our employment. Aside from those that are trying to sway you in an emotional and political direction, we are employed by the citizens of West DePere School District. We are paid to provide an excellent education to their children, and these citizens are hurting from the beleaguered economy, perhaps even more so than we have been until now. We need to keep this in mind, as we proceed.

I arranged to have the meeting on Monday after school with our superintendent, John Zegers, to try to make sure we at West DePere were able to achieve the best outcome for ourselves in the upcoming contract negotiations. We are not in the same financial situation as some of these other schools, and Mr. Zegers has been and continues to be very, very open about wanting to work with us. He has recognized over and over that we have excellent teachers in our district, and has no plans for sweeping changes in personnel. In contrast, the Green Bay and East DePere teachers gave up pay increases and other stipulations and made the decision to lose these points in order to preserve their mandate to the union which includes dues for the next two years. They did not take the time to analyze their situation and their options thoroughly. As a group of individuals who daily encourage our students to make sound decisions based on fact and reason, I urge you to proceed rationally. (How do you say no contract is a better than a bad contract—tactfully??)

As of today, Brenda May is your Union President. She is an intelligent person with great common sense, and will do a fine job for you if you let her. We have the ability to come through this much better than other teachers in our area if we retain our open minds (“Don’t leave your mind so open that your brain falls out”—William F. Bennett) and think for ourselves.

Thank you to those of you who have maintained a cool head, common sense, and professional composure throughout these past weeks.

It's all in an effort to showcase the impact unions and their members have on the local economy, association president Toni Lardinois said Wednesday.

Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (left) and President Mike Ellis said this afternoon they are dropping the $100 fines levied against Dems for leaving the state and are working to allow their votes to count again in committee.

Fitzgerald, R-Juneau, sent his caucus an e-mail yesterday that Dems remain in contempt of the Senate for ignoring quorum calls during their absence. Fitzgerald said Dems can signal their support or opposition in committee, but those votes would not be officially recorded."

I am disappointed in Fitz and Ellis on this move. What the heck was the November election all about? Buck up and don't back down!

MERRILL -- The Merrill Police Department is investigating whether a woman committed a crime when she destroyed a petition last week at a rally to recall State Sen. Jim Holperin.

Recall Jim Holperin Committee leader Kim Simac told reporters Tuesday at the Lincoln County Courthouse that up to 100 pro-union protesters encircled committee members Thursday in Merrill as they sought signatures for a petition to oust Holperin, D-Conover.

Leone Schneidewend, chairperson for the Democratic Party of Shawano County, was on the northwest corner of Division Street and Main Street on Tuesday afternoon collecting signatures to have state Sen. Robert Cowles, R-Green Bay, removed from office.

“There are eight Republican senators around Wisconsin that we want removed,” Schneidewend said. “Walker’s next.”

Shawano County Democratic Party leaders and others throughout the Senate district have been gathering signatures since Thursday to have Cowles recalled.

They will need at least 16,000 signatures by the end of April to force a recall election.

A handmade sign noting “Stop the Attack on Workers Rights, Sign a Recall Petition” was next to Schneidewend’s stand to get commuter’s attention.

After about an hour Schneidewend had 10 signatures.

I collect also but for the other side. I wonder if he has right wing, tea party, loose cannon type conservatives yelling, screaming and harassing him?


No, we on the right give him the right to do what he thinks is right.


My opinion, after he gets union members and most residence of Menominee County, he will run out of  willing people to sign. The jig is up, If it wasn't for the unions, the dem party of Shawano County would be

Ashland Schools Superintendent Keith Hilts outlined the problem in a single sentence.

'How do we offer quality education with less money?' he asked an audience at the Ashland High School library on Tuesday night at a community budget input meeting. At that session, district residents were basically asked to assist the school board with a very difficult task: Keeping the quality of education high at the Ashland School District while lopping off anywhere from $1.4 million to $1.5 million dollars from the 2011-12 school budget."

Answer, don't extend the teachers contracts and save millions! This isn't rocket science!

Press Conference to be held at the Lincoln County Courthouse in Merrill

Senator Holperin Recall Committee to address incidents of
March 13th and complaints being filed.
Destruction of offical government documents, intimidation, threats, and lack of police action will be addressed

Merrill, Wisconsin - Leader Kim Simac and volunteers for the Recall Jim Holperin Committee will hold a press conference tomorrow at 12:00 pm at the Lincoln County Courthouse
This is the location of the conflict between Recall Petition Signers and Union Protesters last Thursday, March 10, 2011.

The petition rally was originally scheduled at a local Merrill restaurant but was reloacated after the proprietors recieved many concerning phone calls and felt they needed to back out. The committee then set up in front of the Lincoln County Courthouse to offer citizens an opportunity to sign their names to the petition. Over 1,000 calls had been sent out the previous day notifying area residents of the petition rally.

Upon arrival, members of the recall committee were encircled by union protesters carrying signs and a leader with a mega phone who began chanting and ranting loudly. They packed in tightly around the petition collection table so as to prevent those attempting to sign from doing so. At one point, a pro union protestor, pretending to be interested in signing the petition, wrote profanity across a partially collected petiton form, than began ripping up the completed petitions that were in close proximity. The policemen that were there, and who were standing in close proximity to these events as they unfolded, did nothing to assist those collecting the petitions as they were being destroyed, despite such an action being a Felony under Wisconsin law. Police also did nothing to clear the walk way for citizens that wanted to sign the petitions. Recall Committee members received many phone calls the following day from Merill area citizens who stated that they showed up to sign the petition, but were too affraid to get out of their vehicles and approach the recall table.

Kim Simac, leader of the recall effort, who has also received numerous personal threats, has now declared that enough is enough. “Tomorrow we beging taking the necessary steps to put a stop to this kind of behavior.” Simac stated. She went on to say: “The people of the 12th District of Wisconsin can not and will not allow this thuggery and bullying to continue. As honorable citizens, I believe we all have an obligation to stand up for the rule of law, which is why I am taking this action."

Information will be released to how the events of Thursday March 10, 2011 are going to be handled and how such threats, intimidation and disorderly behavior is going to be addressed in the future.

More Voter Fraud Coming To Wisconsin

“We’re losing battles, but if you quit after the first battle, you lose the war,” Dickinson said. “We’re here for the long haul and I think you are going to see people here for a long time.”

And this.

“The future of our state is in the balance,” Senate Minority Leader Mark Miller, a Monona Democrat, told the Capitol Square crowd. “I don’t think anybody knew what they were getting in this last election and they’ve asked for a do-over.”

So Miller doesn't like the results and wants a do over. Geez, I didn't see this when Obama was elected. 


First question, where were they last November? Second, this just tells us voter fraud is coming big time and we better be ready to stop it. The media will ignore fraud by union workers and teachers. The media will ignore indoctrination by teachers to their students against republicans. The media will target recalls towards republicans and put democrat recalls on the back page.

Society will be dragged through the gutter and it will not be pretty. The cry baby union thugs will fight till the end. Someone this past week said (paraphrasing) and I'm sorry for not remembering who said it but it sank in. Union leader and their members shouldn't wish too much for what they want, they may not like what they get.
