It seems they have ...James, thanks for commenting.

It seems they have been and always will be playing partisan politics from what I have read and seen about the LOWV.

Have a GREAT week, take care.Paul - Berry Lakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16328907012571841767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34714372.post-39229206724018935992011-09-13T10:00:03.892-05:002011-09-13T10:00:03.892-05:00It appears that the (Wisconsin) "League Of Wo...It appears that the (Wisconsin) "League Of Women Voters" is preparing to sue the State of Wisconsin in a challenge against the law which requires voters to have such a photo ID to prove that they are, in fact, citizens and have the right to vote.

Since that law was a core part of the Republican Party's program (And, opposed by the Democrat Party), it might be the case that The League in involved in partisan politics. If, and only if, that is the legal case, then that organization should be required to function under the same laws as govern other political groups AND lose such benefits as come from being an apolitical, non-profit, organization.

I was displeased to note that the cited law allows some to avoid it by declaring religious objections to being photographed. Such laws have been declared null-and-void as to drivers' licenses in a number of jurisdictions. It appears both a matter of violating public policy and a violation of "separation of church and state". Riding my hobby horse, it appears to be a matter of "pimping" to Islamic interests in introducing Sharia like laws into our statutes.
That provision must be removed asap!James Pawlakhttp://www.crusaderknight.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.com
